Home Team Youth Check In

On a youth night you run the attendance desk, so we always know exactly who is in the room & every young person goes home safely with the right adult.

Your times

  • Team: 1 person
  • Sign-out: from 7:30pm, when youth rehearsal ends
  • Late collection: begins at 8:00pm if a parent or carer hasn’t arrived

Signing in

  • Each young person checks in at the attendance desk by scanning their Digital Pass.
  • Mark the roll, so we always know exactly who is in the room.
  • If a pass won’t scan, sign them in by hand.
  • Children under 13 are always signed in & out by their parent or carer, or an adult they’ve authorised.

Signing out

  • Sign each young person out at the same desk.
  • Release a young person only to their parent or carer, or to an adult the parent or carer has authorised to collect them.
  • If you don’t recognise the adult collecting, check who they are before releasing the young person.
  • An under-18 may leave on their own only if their parent or carer has given written permission. Without it, release them only to an authorised adult.

If a parent or carer is late

  • Late collection begins if they haven’t arrived by 8:00pm.
  • The young person waits inside the venue with at least 2 Home Team members, never alone & never outside.
  • The parent or carer is phoned, then their emergency contact, until the young person is safely collected.

Keeping everyone safe

  • Youth nights run under the two-adult rule: no young person is ever alone, out of sight, with a single adult.
  • Any child-safety concern goes straight to the Welfare Officer.

Who to ask

Anything unclear on the night, ask the Home Team Leader. They run the roster & can tell you where you’re needed.

Every Home Team role is described on the Home Team Roles & Guide.
